Royal Oak has everything that makes summer fun. For art, food and the Royal Oak street scene, look no further than the Clay, Glass & Metal Festival Saturday and Sunday, June 12 and 13. Shop for jewelry, gifts, decorative art and architectural pieces with 125 artists while kids express themselves at the Creative Arts Studio tent located at 5th & Washington Ave. Royal Oak’s favorite restaurants will provide food and beverage on Fifth Street this year. On Fifth Street food and music will run from 10 am – 11 pm on Saturday and on Sunday from 11 am – 5 pm. Artists’ tents will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 pm Saturday and from 11 am to 5 pm Sunday.

The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music is proud to be handling all of the music scheduling for the festival this year!

Get set for some free family fun at the Detroit Children’s Museum Grand Re-opening Celebration June 26-27, 2010! Enjoy all that the museum has to offer including a first look at some never-before-seen artifacts, planetarium shows, hands-on activities and an outdoor block-party celebration.

The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music students will be rocking the street and The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music EXPERIENCE will be on hand to help kids get into the groove!

The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music will be providing some music and fun at the 2010 Farmington Founders Festival! The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music’s EXPERIENCE will be in the kid’s area from 12pm-6pm both days to give people a chance to find their inner rock star!

The DSRP bands will be performing on Friday July 16th from 6pm-9pm and Saturday July 17th from 5pm-9pm.

The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music is looking forward to participating in the 2010 Kids Cruise in Royal Oak. It’s part of the Dream Cruise activities. Here are the details.
Info: Kids’ Cruise offers a family-friendly cruise event in Downtown Royal Oak. Activities include music by The Detroit School of Rock & Pop and others, a giant inflatable slide, a roller racer speedway, and a truck area where kids can climb through, in, and around fire trucks, police cars, mail trucks, dump trucks and more. Classic car clubs will have their vehicles on display and, at sundown, an outdoor movie, Hotel for Dogs, will play.
